Info on Criminal Background Checks

The expiration date for eligible criminal record checks (CRC) differ per private language institution and public schools. Your Criminal record check is valid up to 6 months prior to start date for private language schools but is only valid up to 3 months prior to start date for public school applicants.

Public Schools CRC regulation:

-Must be Statewide or Federal (local, county not accepted)

-Valid up to 3 months prior to submission date.

-For South Africa, regristration for CRC takes up to 3 months. 

Private Language schools CRC regulation:

-Must be Statewide or Federal (local, county not accepted)

-Valid up to 6 months prior to submission to Korean immigration office. (former limit was 3 months)
